Should students get limited access to the Internet ?

Nowadays, students are getting much more addicted to the Internet. The usage of the Internet has increased for teenagers as well as adolescents. According to the statistics, the time passed on the Internet has mostly been more than hours which is quite shocking. The Internet has so many sites that are inappropriate for children, and some parents do not seem to know about them either.

Firstly, some information could be a rumour or just fake news. For example, some sites post fake news on the Internet to provoke innocent children. The images can be inappropriate and have a terrible influence on a child.

Coming back to the topic, if students do not get limited time on the Internet, we can have a case related to addiction. I think that the Internet has both advantages and disadvantages. The only difference is that there are more disadvantages than advantages.

In my opinion, the Internet is an addiction that has numerous negative aspects, so according to me, a parent should keep an eye on the child or not give him or her a phone until a certain age. As a solution, I feel students should get limited access to the Internet. A parent should set up parental control on the child’s gadget, so due to that, the child will only be able to download apps appropriate for his or her age and under the supervision of the parent. Although there is much more safety if you set up a timer in the child’s phone so that they can only use it for a limited time. The parent should decide the time very carefully based on their child’s normal screen time.

In short, I believe that the Internet’s positive side can be used for education and research. Otherwise, the Internet is full of disadvantages. I would just recommend one piece of advice: do not ban the Internet completely, just decrease its usage, and be aware of things that you are watching, ordering items, posting photos, etc…  Make sure that the sites you are watching are safe. Anyways, the Internet can be useful at times, if your site is accurate and if you think you can rely on its information.
