By Ioana Strumelieva S2ENA

Have you ever wondered what goes on inside your body? Are you interested to learn more about the human body? If so, ‘Real Bodies’ exhibition is the place for you.

‘Real Bodies’ exhibition uses real bodies which are plastified to preserve them. The exhibition travels all around the world, so no one can miss it. Due to a lot of interest, the exhibition in Antwerp has been extended from the 24th May to the 24th August 2021.

Somewhere around the 2000s, Dr Gunther von Hagens created the ‘Real Bodies’ exhibition. His goal was to educate the public about what is going on inside the body. It is a moving exhibition, and it has been in multiple countries throughout Europe and the world. Since the December opening of the exhibition in Antwerp, it has been visited by more than 80 000 people.

I had the chance to visit the exhibition and I really enjoyed it. For me, the most interesting section was the circulatory system. Thanks to the exhibition I got to learn a lot about what is going on inside me and this knowledge will help me at school. If you happen to go to Antwerp, I recommend visiting the exhibition. It is a fantastic place to spend you day. You will learn a lot and get to spend time with your family too.

Don’t worry you have not missed it! The exhibition was open until the 24th August 2021, so if you happen to go to Antwerp ask your parents to book it. Book your tickets now! https://realbodies.be/tickets/
